Comparative Politics,
West European Politics, and Comparative Political Economy  
 

Lyle Scruggs received his Ph.D. from Duke University in 1998. He teaches comparative politics, West European politics, and comparative political economy. His current research focuses on globalization and welfare policy reform in North America and Western Europe. He has just completed a three-year data collection project on the structure of social insurance programs since the 1960s in eighteen countries. His other main research interest is comparative environmental policy.
