Larry W. Bowman

International Relations and Comparative Government - African Politics
Larry W. Bowman is Professor of Political Science and Director of the Center for Contemporary African Studies. He is the author of Politics in Rhodesia: White Power in an African State (Harvard University Press, 1973) and Mauritius: Democracy and Development in the Indian Ocean (Westview Press, 1991). For more than two decades he had published widely on southern Africa and U.S. foreign policy toward southern African and the Indian Ocean region. Bowman is also the general editor of the Nations of Contemporary Africa series for Westview Press. His main teaching interests are African politics and international relations, especially the contemporary dynamics of north-south relations.
