Summer Sessions 2003

Students may register by mail, fax, Internet, or in person in advance of each session. Consult the Summer Sessions 2003 Catalog for details and deadlines. Session One begins at the Regional campuses and at the Storrs campus on May 19. (No classes at any campus on Monday, May 26). Session Two begins June 30. (No classes to be held on Friday, July 4.)

Last day for filing petitions for course credit by examination is the end of the first week of classes in each session. Examinations for course credit by examination occur during the fourth week of classes in each session.

Fall Semester 2003

Mon. Aug. 25	Fall semester begins
Mon. Sept. 1	Labor Day - No classes
Tues. Sept. 2	Last day to file petitions for course credit by examination
Mon. Sept. 8	Courses dropped after this date will have a "W" for withdrawal recorded on the academic record
	Last day to add or drop courses without additional signatures (See chart under Adding and Dropping Courses)
	Add/Drop via Student Administration System closes
	Last day to place courses on Pass/Fail
Mon. Sept. 15	Last day to convert Incomplete or Absence grades
Tue. - Mon. Sept. 16 - 22	Examinations for course credit by examination
Tue. Oct. 21	Mid-semester progress reports due students from faculty
Mon. Oct. 27	Last day to drop a course
	Last day to convert courses on Pass/Fail option to letter grade
Oct. 27 continuously through the second week of classes	Storrs campus registration for spring 2004 semester via Student Administration System
Fri. Nov. 21	Last day of classes before Thanksgiving recess
Mon. Dec. 1	Thanksgiving recess ends; classes resume

Faculty are urged to try not to schedule exams on significant religious holidays, such as Rosh Hashanah, Sept. 27-28; Yom Kippur, Oct. 6; Eid Al-fitr, Nov. 25: Eid Al-adha, Feb. 1; Passover, April 6 - 13; Good Friday, April 9.
