Alumni/Development System
Last updated April 18, 1997.
Overview
ADS is an alumni /development fund-raising system. It was
originally developed at Iowa State University and is now marketed by
University Systems Technology, Inc. as ISU-ASSIST.
The ADS application consists of:
The Master system module which contains
identification, education, employment, contribution, and attitudinal
data for individuals/organizations on file.
The Pledge & Gift system maintains contribution
details for individuals/organizations identified in the Master System.
It includes billing procedures for pledges. When payments and gifts are
recorded, it prints cash reports and receipts and also identifies donors
who work for matching gift companies.
The Prospect module supplements information already
recorded in the previous two systems for individuals/organizations who
are considered to be prospective major donors. It maintains details
about the contacts made with each prospect in addition to information
about corporate gifts or grants.
The Events Management system maintains information
on events, activities, and attendees for the university.
The Membership Management module provides the ability
to manage information for multiple campus organizations/groups and the
constituent clubs within those groups.
This system uses DB2 relational database technology. Ad hoc and query
reporting is accomplished through the FOCUS query language.
Data within the ADS is managed by the University of Connecticut
Foundation, Inc.
