18th c. Persian silk embroidery Gilch double cloth
- two pieces one piece 8"x15", the other 2.5"x4.5".
The prominent feature of this embroidery is its
diagonal design which is characteristic of the embroideries of this period.
The illustration indicated a typical use of these embroideries.
