Comings and Goings of Faculty

Joel Kupperman will hold an NEH Fellowship during 2004-2005, and hence will be on leave from standard duties in the department.

Patrick Greenough of St. Andrews (Scotland) will visit in February 2005 to give a talk and lead a workshop on vagueness and truth.

We are very happy to report that Lionel Shapiro will be joining our department in August 2005. Dr. Shapiro specializes in philosophy of language, philosophy of mind, and early modern philosophy. He received his Ph.D. from Pittsburgh in April 2004 and currently has a visiting appointment at UC Berkeley.
