Computer Center Organizational Update

Date: January 31, 1997

Some History

DDD0050 (10/30/96) conveyed the initial changes within the Computer Center decided upon after the announcement of the impending retirement of Richard Stec (Director of Administrative Services). The decision was made to reassign the services performed by Administrative Services (programming, data base administration, security, and information system support) to Richard Ellis. The managerial roles and staff assignments were yet to be determined. That combined-staff area is now called Computing & Information Systems. The mission and organizational structure of Communication Services (voice, data, video), under the direction of Susan Fisher, was to remain basically unchanged.

Due to the evolving nature of this reorganization, Computer Center web page(s), Guides to Services, etc., may not be current. For the most part, they will offer functional information.
