Enterprise Server Software Changes

Date: March 7, 1997

On March 17, 1997, the following software changes will occur on the IBM Enterprise Server.

  • Mailbook 96.2 will be the default version under CMS. Mailbook is the Enterprise Server-based E-mail software.

  • ISPF Version 3, Release 2 will be the default version under CMS. ISPF is used as a full-screen interactive environment; it includes its own editor.

  • FOCUS 6.8 (same as current release), with some maintenance applied, will be the default version under CMS. FOCUS is database creation and manipulation software.

  • Bookmanager Release 1.3 will be the default version under CMS. Bookmanager allows users to read on-line books.

  • C/370 Version 2, Release 2 library will be the default version under CMS.

  • AD/Cycle C/370 Release 2 compiler will be the default version under CMS.

    This is the latest version of IBM's Enterprise Server C compiler.

    • Updated help files (where applicable) will be available on March 10, 1997. To view an entry type:

    HELP UCONN TASK

    on the CMS command line and choose the menu entry for the information you require.
