This memo is to inform you that we have been receiving numerous communications concerning directory assistance errors.

We have verified with our vendors (SNET, AT&T, etc.) and we believe the information they are providing is correct. In order to attempt to resolve this matter, we need additional information. If anyone in your department is experiencing frequent wrong numbers provided by directory assistance, please instruct them to find out:

• what number the caller dialed for directory assistance and who provided the directory assistance (if known),
• what department they requested, and
• the area (and telephone number, if possible) from which they are calling.

This information should assist us in isolating the source of these errors.
