Temporary Relocation of UCC Accounts & Help Desk

ATTENTION: Deans, Directors, Department Heads, and Other Interested Parties

During the upcoming semester break, Room M001 at the University Computer Center (UCC) will undergo extensive renovations. As a result, the Help Desk, Accounts, and several offices will temporarily relocate to other areas within the UCC.

Renovations will begin on Monday, December 21, 1998, and should be completed by Monday, January 18, 1999.

During this time,

Accounts will be relocated to the Computer Operations (machine) room. Phone assistance will continue to be available by calling (860) 486-5236. Walk-in assistance can be obtained by pressing the buzzer located near the Dutch doors, at the back of the input/output room (also known as the 24 hour terminal room).

The Help Desk will also be relocated, but WILL NOT BE ACCESSIBLE FOR WALK-IN CONSULTATIONS. Phone assistance will continue to be available by calling (860) 486-4357; however, limitations on hardware and software resources will reduce the ability of the Help Desk to provide solutions as effectively. Diskettes, software and other items will not be sold during this time.
